PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route search apparatus for causing a road facing an entrance, an exit and a gateway of a vehicle to be hardly set as a guide route. SOLUTION: A route calculating section 12 reads a link data and a node data used for a route calculation from a map data storing section 3 through a map data obtaining section 10, and determines whether there is an entrance/exit data by an existence data included in the link data (S10). If it determines that there is the entrance/exit data, the route calculating section 12 uses a link ID of a link associated with the entrance/exit data, and reads the entrance/exit data from the map data storing section 3 through the map data obtaining section 10 (S11, S12). When all link data, node data and entrance/exit data used for the route calculation are completed to be read, the route calculating section 12 calculates a route cost by using the entrance/exit data in addition to the read link data and node data (S13, S14).
