PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device which reduces influence of diffraction. SOLUTION: A pair of scanning lines 71 and 72 corresponding to a pair of adjacent pixel electrodes 91 and 92 disposed in an extension direction of a first data line 61 are disposed to interpose the pair of pixel electrodes 91 and 92 therebetween, and a first TFT element 31 for controlling the power supply to the first pixel electrode 91 is disposed near an intersection between the first data line 61 and the first scanning line 71, and a second TFT element 32 for controlling the power supply to the second pixel electrode 92 is disposed near an intersection between the second data line 62 and the second scanning line 72.
