RESIN-CERAMIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-ceramic composite material exhibiting specified thermal expanding property at around room temperature and having a coefficient of linear expansion easily controllable during production, and to provide a production method of the material. SOLUTION: The resin-ceramic composite material is prepared by compounding a resin and ceramic to form a composite, and includes a reinforcing material comprising particles of interstitial manganese nitride and formed into a porous body, and a matrix comprising a resin impregnating the reinforcing material. The porous body comprising the particles of interstitial manganese ceramics shows negative expanding property, which compensates the positive expanding property of the resin and the resin-ceramic composite material having a specified thermal expansion near room temperature is obtained.
