摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed constant type step-variable attenuator having an excellent characteristic up to a high-frequency region, and easy to design. SOLUTION: The distributed constant type step-variable attenuator includes a dielectric substrate with a plurality of attenuators arranged in parallel to one another disposed thereon, and a selection mechanism for selectively connecting one of the plurality of attenuators to an external circuit, wherein each of the plurality of attenuators is formed into a structure which includes, on the dielectric substrate, a first film resistance part connecting a predetermined distance between an input signal electrode 003 and an output signal electrode 004, and having resistance of a first sheet resistance valueτ<SB>1</SB>(Ω/square) distributed therein, and a second film resistance part 002 located between a side of the first film resistance part in the predetermined distance direction and an ground pattern 005 parallel to the side, electrically connected to the side and the ground pattern 005, and having resistance of a second sheet resistance valueτ<SB>2</SB>(Ω/square) distributed therein. Lengths in a direction for connecting the input signal electrodes 003 to the output signal electrodes 004 of the first film resistance parts 001 and the second film resistance parts 002 of the respective attenuators are different from one another.
