PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a predetermined attenuation force, and to adjust a height of the generated attenuation force in a both-side rod type damper stored in a front fork without an influence of air existing outside a cylinder body constituting the damper. SOLUTION: In the structure of an attenuation part of both-side rod type damper, a hydraulic fluid passes through attenuation means 5b and 5b in a piston body 5 when a rod body 4 appears in the cylinder body 3. The structure of the attenuation part includes other rod body 42 whose base end is connected to the piston body 5 and the tip protrudes beyond a bottom end in the cylinder body 3. The other rod body is extended from the bottom end of the cylinder body 3 toward the outside in the axial direction of the cylinder body 3, and the tip is protruded into a lower end side 3a for changing its inside into an air chamber A1. The other rod body is comprised of a pipe, and has a sealing means 42b therein in order to prevent air from flowing from the inside of the lower end 3a into the inside of the rod body.
