PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor inhibiting oil from being taken out of a compressor by inhibiting the short-circuiting of refrigerant gas containing much oil mist even if the gap between a communication passage cover and a refrigerant gas guide attached to an insulator becomes large due to assembly variation or the like, at low cost. SOLUTION: A partition-wall seal member 291 mutually abutting on a passage cover 251 and a refrigerant gas guide 203d attached to an insulator 203c on the compression mechanism side of a stator 203a are provided. The partition-wall seal member 291, of which one end is tightly fitted and fixed on the passage cover 251 and a refrigerant gas guide 203d, and of which another end is radially turned back at cuts 291e provided in a longitudinal direction at equal intervals to form roughly equilateral polygon annular shape burrs 291a on end surfaces, is fitted and installed to keep smooth press contact on the refrigerant gas guide 203 or the passage cover 251.
