PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lock device which has less number of parts and is easy to be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The parking lock device includes: a parking gear 2, which is interlocked with a rotating member of a transmission device; a lock pawl 4, which can be displaced between a lock position engaging with the parking gear 2 and a lock-releasing position; and a changeover mechanism 5, which operates the changeover of the lock pawl 4. The changeover mechanism 5 includes: an operation piece 8, the rotation of which is operated by a motor M; a link member 6, which is pivotally supported on the lock pawl 4; and an elastic member 10, which transmits an operation force from the operation piece 8 to the link member 6. A speed reduction mechanism 14, which has a reduction ratio by which the reverse operation of the motor M in a stop state can be performed by the elastic member 10, is disposed between the motor M and the operation piece 8. A ratchet mechanism 20 is provided which prevents the return of the operation piece 8 at a stage in which changeover of the lock pawl 4 to the lock position is not finished.
