PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mascara applicator which can solve problems, has a plurality of comb teeth on an axial rod of the applicator, ensures a liquid reservoir space for retaining the mascara liquid in each comb teeth and raises the application effect of the mascara liquid to the eyelashes, increases the first lash application amount and can direct voluminous eyelashes, furthermore, can retain plenty of the mascara liquid without change of pitch between the comb teeth and excels in handling the eyelashes. SOLUTION: The axial rod is attached to a handle of the mascara applicator, a plurality of comb teeth for combing the eyelashes are arranged in parallel rows on the axial rod, projections shaped in almost triangles of a front view showing point thin shape tapering toward the tip from the root part of the comb teeth are formed on the longitudinal side faces of the comb teeth, on the faces countering the adjoining comb teeth each other, and it is characterized by having a side consisting in the position facing the root of the comb teeth in the projections and the comb teeth at a right angle or below.
