PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a modified conjugated diene-based polymer being a material of a rubber composition excellent in processability and being a material vulcanized rubber excellent in low heat generation property, low temperature characteristic and wearing-resistance. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the modified conjugated diene-based polymer includes a first step of obtaining a first reaction solution by performing a polymerization reaction of a conjugated diene compound using a predetermined catalyst, a second step of obtaining a second reaction solution containing a first conjugated diene-based polymer having an active terminal end and having a weight average molecular weight of 250,000-800,000 and a second conjugated diene-based polymer having an active terminal end and having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000-150,000 in which the total vinyl content of the first conjugated diene-based polymer and the second conjugated diene-based polymer is 10% or less and the cis-1,4-bond content is 75% or more by further adding the catalyst to the obtained first reaction solution and performing a polymerization reaction, and a third step of obtaining the modified conjugated diene-based polymer by adding a modifying agent to the second reaction solution and modifying the active terminal end.
