PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a change of a position where a winding shaft is attached to a body, and to make the body smaller and thinner to be attached to various types of stringed instruments. SOLUTION: A peg device for stringed instrument 1 includes a body 10 attached to the stringed instrument, a worm 20 that is rotatably supported by the body 10 and that includes a knob 30 at one end, a worm wheel 40 that is engaged with the worm 20 and rotatably supported by the body 10, and the winding shaft 50 that is connected to one side in a shaft direction of the worm wheel 40 and winds a string of the stringed instrument.
