Apparatus and methods for applying a coating of adhesive to laminate cover material in a profile wrapping operation. The apparatus can include a slot nozzle (14), a pressure roller (30), and a drive roller (40). The drive roller (40) and pressure roller (30) are movable to first positions in which the drive roller (40) and pressure roller (30) are spaced from the laminate, and second positions in which the drive roller (40) and pressure roller (30) contact the lanninate to feed the veneer over the slot nozzle (14). The apparatus may be used to apply adhesive to raw veneer provided in strip form and to laminates provided in roll form.
