PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the light-emitting energies of respective LEDs based on respective temperatures detected by two temperature detectors.

SOLUTION: A correction value calculation section 121 calculates the lighting width of the LED 131 based on a correction value A and a correction value B. The correction value A is one for correcting the light quantity of the LED 131 and the correction value B is one for correcting the correction value A based on the initial length of an LED chip in which the LED 131 is provided. The calculation is performed based on the respective temperatures detected by the temperature detector 111 provided in an LED array and the temperature detector 112 provided in the housing of an image forming apparatus, outside the LED array.
