<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new building wall structure which exerts load-bearing performance as a bearing wall element of a building, even when a wall material is not applied to upper-story and lower-story beams; and to provide a method for constructing a building wall. <P>SOLUTION: In this building wall structure with the wall material 20 having a lower end 20b fixed to a column 6A (column material), a vertically-long reinforcing member 61 for preventing the deformation of the column 6A is annexed to the column 6A. Additionally, a lower furring-strips material 82 (end furring-strips material) for fixing the lower end 20b of the wall material 20 is horizontally laid on the column 6A (column material).
