[Classes 75(ii) and 75(iv)] A lighting fixture comprises a tubular electric lamp 10 along the sides of which are arranged curved sections A, B of glass, methyl methacrylate or other transparent material to deflect the rays of light from the lamp and cause them to issue from the edges of the sections. The lamp may be a fluorescent tube and the curved sections A, B may be composed of a number of superposed laminations 11, 12, 13 so as to increase the number of light rays piped along the sections by total internal reflection, the laminations being held together by a metal strip 14 embracing both sections A, B. |
