PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device attaining that a storage space for storing a paper retaining member is largely taken. SOLUTION: In the medium paper feeder 80 openably/closably mounted to a device body and feeding the paper 12 to the device body, a paper feeding roller shaft 85a and a paper feeding roller drive shaft 94 for driving this are not provided on the same axis, and the paper feeding roller drive shaft 94 is provided at an inner side of an image forming device body in an approximately horizontal direction relative to the paper feeding roller shaft 85a. Therefore, a paper feeding roller bearing part 87c and a frame body 87a provided on a roller retaining frame 87 are retreated to the inner side of the image forming device body, and a paper width restriction guide storage space at an outer sheath cover 82 side can be largely taken. Thereby, in the state that the outer sheath cover 82 is closed, paper width restriction guides 98-1, 98-2 in the standing state can be mounted at the inside of the image forming device body.
