DEODORIZATION OF FISH OIL USING ZEOLITES

PURPOSE: A method of removing fish odor of fish oil using zeolite is provided to remove fishy odor without damage to EPA or DHA by using the absorption property of a zeolite. CONSTITUTION: Trimethylamine is absorbed through a stirrer using zeolite and batch-type adsorption tank. 50 ml TMA solution is inserted into a round-bottom flask and is stirred to maintain 50 °C. The stirring speed is maintained 350 rpm. The absorption test of the trimethylamine and EPA extraction fish oil are performed.
