PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the assembly of a rotor, and to improve magnetic characteristics. SOLUTION: An electric motor includes magnets 30 inserted into a plurality of magnet inserting holes 21 of a rotor core, respectively, and first elastic members 40 urging the magnets 30 in the radial insides of at least a rotor so that surfaces on the radial insides of the magnets 30 are pushed against internal surfaces on the radial insides of the magnet inserting holes 21. The rotor core includes a rotor core body 22 forming the internal surfaces on the radial inside of at least the rotor of the magnet inserting holes 21 and forming supports 22a supporting the first elastic members 40, and thick parts 23 being positioned on the radial outside of the rotor of the magnets 30 and forming parts of the internal surfaces on the radial outside of the rotor 3 of the magnet inserting holes 21. The rotor core further includes bridges 24 forming the magnet inserting holes 21 together with the rotor core body 22 and the thick parts 23 by connecting the rotor core body 22 and the thick parts 23 and forming the radial thicknesses thinner than the thick parts 23.
