PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an error of bits, wherein considerably wrong likelihood is arithmetically operated, in a wireless communication system. SOLUTION: A receiving apparatus performs error correction using turbo codes. The receiving apparatus includes: a likelihood arithmetic operation unit for arithmetically operating likelihood for each of bits of reception data; a turbo decoder for performing turbo decoding on a first bit stream that is a bit stream of reception data including likelihood; a turbo coder for performing turbo coding on the data decoded by the turbo decoder to produce a second bit stream; and a code comparator for comparing a code of likelihood for each of bits of the first bit stream with a code for each of bits of the second bit stream.
