<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device having the improved efficiency of interlayer jumping, for solving the problem wherein an interlayer jumping in a disk having three or more recording layers, the amplitude of a focus error signal drops on a more separated recording layer, due to the influence of spherical aberrations and a focal position needs to be moved, taking into account the influence of spherical aberrations, when performing interlayer jumping. <P>SOLUTION: When interlayer jumping is performed in the disk having three or more recording layers, based on a relation between the recording layer, before the movement of a focus and the recording layer after the movement, an objective lens and a spherical aberration correction mechanism are driven in different sequences. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
