<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device capable of reducing the circuit scale and the current consumption without degrading a resolution in A/D conversion. <P>SOLUTION: The imager includes an imaging part 2 equipped with a plurality of pixels 3 for outputting a signal according to the size of incoming electromagnetic waves, column circuits 10-15 for comparing a voltage according to a signal from the imaging part 2 with a reference voltage and outputting the comparison result, column circuits 10-15 for outputting a clock of a frequency according to the signal from the imaging part 2, column circuits 10-15 for counting the clock, and column circuits 10-15 for controlling the clock output time at the column circuits 10-15 or controlling the count time at the column circuits 10-15 so as to count the clock only for a prescribed time according to the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
