PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody that can deliver a human PD-1 inhibitory signal, a controlling factor of autoimmune diseases and is useful in treating and/or preventing diseases caused by immune abnormalities.

SOLUTION: The anti human PD-1 monoclonal antibody is produced from a hybridoma identified by international accession number FERM BP-8392. The antibody selectively recognizes the human PD-1 and membrane protein existing in the cell membrane in which the human PD-1 is expressed, and delivers the human PD-1 inhibitory signal.
