PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum consolidation construction method using a horizontal drain, which prevents the occurrence of a consolidation delay due to well resistance at the drain, even if the underground length of the drain increases, thus prevents a reduction in a drain effect. SOLUTION: According to the vacuum consolidation construction method using the horizontal drain, a plurality of drains 11 to 14 are horizontally laid under a ground G to be subjected to consolidation improvement. Vacuum pumps 17 and 18 at both ends of the drains 11 to 14 apply negative pressure that act on the ground G to consolidate it in a vacuum condition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
