PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ozone generator in which cooling water can be supplied uniformly into a cooling vessel without increasing the pressure withstanding strength so much. SOLUTION: The ozone generator includes: an ozone generation tube; the cooling vessel 1 which has an inflow port 16 through which a cooling liquid is made to flow in the cooling vessel and in which the ozone generation tube 4 is housed in such a state that both ends of the ozone generation tube are projected and the ozone generation tube is cooled from the outside by the circulating cooling liquid; and a baffle vessel 20 which is fitted to an inner peripheral part of the cooling vessel 1 to surround the inflow port 16, which is used for directing the cooling liquid flowing in the cooling vessel through the inflow port 16 to the periphery of the ozone generation tube and which has outflow ports 18 for discharging the used cooling liquid. The size and shape of the baffle vessel 20 is set so that the range, which is wider than that of the inflow port 16 of the cooling vessel 1, is dotted with the outflow ports 18 of the used cooling liquid.
