PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system, which can solve deterioration of processing capability. SOLUTION: A file server stores each address map cache having identification data assigned to each file server that is data in which duplication of an address map is distributed. The file server includes an address map operation means which saves identification data of storage object data and address data generated based on the data content of the storage object data in association with each other address to the address map cache. The address map operation means identifies the file server based on address data of new storage object data, and saves, to the address map cache of the specified file server, identification data preliminarily assigned to the identified file server as the identification data of the new storage object data in association with the address data of the new storage object data.
