<p>Disclosed is a ream detecting method for detecting a ream of a light-transmitting platy object transported so as to pass through a detecting section using a ream detecting device provided with a screen on which a stripe pattern is drawn, an image-capturing means fixedly disposed in a posture in which the optical axis is tilted at a predetermined angle with respect to the light-transmitting platy object and focused so that the image of the stripe pattern is formed on a light-receiving element when the image of the stripe pattern is captured through the light-transmitting platy object where any ream which is partial linear deformation is not present, and an image display device having a display surface. The ream detecting method is characterized by including a step of capturing an image showing the stripe pattern through the light-transmitting platy object passing through the field of view of the image-capturing means by means of the image-capturing means, a step of computing a graph representing the brightness distribution of the pixels forming the image on the basis of the captured image, and a step of displaying the computed graph on the display surface of the image display device.</p> |
