<p>Provided is a mesh data creation method capable of appropriately expressing a population density while balancing accuracy and granularity. According to the mesh data creation method, when the number of samples contained in a reference mesh data area having a predetermined size is at least a threshold value, divided mesh data is created by dividing the reference mesh data area. Namely, the portion having a high population density can be expressed by a fine mesh data area, and the portion having a low population density can be expressed by a rough mesh data area. Thereby, the decrease in accuracy caused by making the mesh too fine, the loss of granularity caused by making the mesh too rough, and the resulting failure of obtaining details of the population density can be prevented. Therefore, the population density can be appropriately expressed while the accuracy and the granularity are balanced.</p> |
