Composition comprises at least one color-changing component and an active complex comprising at least one diester compound (I), at least one ingredient that is derived from a plant of the type Butyrospermum parkii, and L-serine and/or its salts, in a cosmetic carrier. Composition comprises at least one color-changing component and an active complex comprising (a1) at least one diester compound of formula (R1-C(=O)-O-CH 2-(CH 2) n-O-C(=O)-R2) (I), (a2) at least one ingredient that is derived from a plant of the type Butyrospermum parkii, and (a3) L-serine and/or its salts, in a cosmetic carrier. R1, R2 : 7-23C-alkyl or -alkenyl; and n : 1-10. An independent claim is included for kit-of-parts containing at least two separately assembled containers, where the first container contains an oxidizing agent preparation in a carrier that contains hydrogen peroxide as oxidizing agent, and the second container contains a coloring preparation containing the above composition in a carrier.
