PURPOSE: A display method and a device for determining the characteristic of a screen which will be projected according the operation of a user is provided to intuitionally set/change the characteristic of a screen more conveniently. CONSTITUTION: A picture attribute/surface state recognizing unit(120) determines the characteristic of screen which will be projected according to the operation of a user which is comprised on a specific object figure which a screen will be projected. A screen generation unit(140) generates a screen according to the characteristic determined in the screen characteristic/surface state recognizing unit. A picture projecting unit(150) projects the screen generated in the screen generation unit. The screen characteristic/surface state recognition unit determines at least one among the location, shape, size, rate, figure, brightness, and focus according to the operation of a user.
