PURPOSE: A bifocal lens and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the generation of dizziness by dividing a long distance part and a short distance part. CONSTITUTION: A sub-recess(1b) is formed on the surface of the base material of a lens(1). The base material of the lens forms a long distance part(1a). The sub-recess forms a short distance part. The refractive index of a material forming the short distance part is larger than that of a material forming the base material of the lens. The surface curvature of the long distance part is the same as that of the short distance part.
