PURPOSE: An oil pump driving device for a stop and go vehicle and a drive method thereof are provided to increase fuel efficiency by the operation thereof, since whether a vehicle is in idle state or signal standby state is determined in the engine starting of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An oil pump driving device for a stop and go vehicle comprises a three-phase full bridge circuit(40), a central processing unit(20), an integrated type motor controller(30), a power supply device(10), and a temperature sensing unit(60). The central processing unit receives engine RPM and goal RPM of a vehicle through a CAN transceiver from a TCU(Transmission Control Unit). The central processing unit outputs the goal RPM of the oil pump driving motor as PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signals. The central processing unit performs proportional integral derivative control. The integrated motor controller comprises a gate driver and transmits the real RPM of the motor to the central processing unit. The integrated type motor controller outputs the PWM control signal and the switching signals outputted from the central processing unit. The power supply device supplies power to the central processing unit and three-phase full bridge circuit. The temperature sensing unit senses the temperature inside the oil pump drive device.
