<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte excellent in high temperature preservability and excellent in continuous charging property in the case of a secondary battery, and a battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte for a secondary battery with nonaqueous electrolyte is produced by dissolving lithium salts in a nonaqueous solvent, where the nonaqueous electrolyte contains an inorganic lithium salt and an organic lithium salt as the lithium salts, and the nonaqueous solvent contains a linear carbonate of 10 vol.% or more and an ethylene sulfite.
