PURPOSE: A reinforcing bar coupler is provided to effectively reduce working time by easily connecting reinforcing bars in a longitudinal direction in a construction site. CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing bar coupler comprises coupler caps(10), a fastening piece(20), a fastening ring(30), a fastening piece pressing unit(40), and a cap connector(50). The coupler caps are a housing of the reinforcing bar coupler and have tapered surfaces. A fastening tapered surface, a rib protrusion insertion groove, and a joint protrusion hanging groove are formed in the fastening piece. The fastening ring fastens the fastening piece. The fastening piece pressing unit elastically presses the fastening ring. The cap connector fixes the coupler caps.
