<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable turbocharger capable of surely reducing the size, and capable of surely rotating a nozzle vane by external operation; and an engine having this turbocharger. <P>SOLUTION: This variable turbocharger externally drives a connecting ring via a pair of rotational driving shafts 38 arranged in a position substantially opposed in the radial direction. Thus, a couple of force can be made to act on the connecting ring, and the connecting ring can be smoothly rotated without applying unreasonable force to a supporting part, and the other driven side lever, in its turn, the whole nozzle vanes can be surely rotated. Since the pair of rotational driving shafts 38 are driven by one hydraulic actuator 50, miniaturization can be promoted by minimizing a space for arranging the hydraulic actuator 50 without requiring to drive the respective rotational driving shafts 38 by individual actuators. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
