The device has a broadband light source (28) i.e. broadband laser, for generating a light beam, and a transparent solid-body filter (44) comprising an inlet limiting surface (51), a reflection limiting surface (53) and an outlet limiting surface (55). The beam falls into the inlet surface, where a portion (52) of the beam is totally reflected at the reflection surface during striking of the beam on the reflection surface. Another portion (54) of the light beam is escaped from the filter by the outlet limiting surface, where the filter is made from highly-dispersive glass.
