摘要 <p>An apparatus for diverting a fluid flow path in a vacuum cleaner comprises two or more selectable fluid flow paths 210, 220 through which an external air stream is drawn, a fixed fluid flow path 230 to be selectively connected to one of the selectable fluid flow paths 210, 220, a path selecting unit 240 to connect the fixed fluid flow path 230 to one of the selectable fluid flow paths 210, 220, and a driving member 280 to provide a driving force to the path selecting unit 240 to cause the path selective unit 240 to move. The apparatus can be arranged so that linear displacement of the driving member 240 causes rotational movement of the path selecting unit 240. The apparatus is preferably arranged so that when the vacuum cleaner tilts from its upright storage position to its in use positions, the driving member 280 is displaced to move the path selecting unit 240 and when the vacuum cleaner is moved back to its upright storage position the driving member 280 causes the path selecting unit 240 to move back to its original position.</p>
