<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment system which can treat waste water in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: This waste water treatment system comprises a pretreatment process 100, a biological treatment process 101, a microbial culture process 102, a filtration treatment process 103, a membrane treatment process 104, and an inspection process 105. In the biological treatment process 101, a mixture liquid containing 10<SP>7</SP>-10<SP>10</SP>per milliliter of microorganisms and a nutrient source for growth promotion of the microorganisms are fed to a first aeration tank together with waste water, and while the microorganism form a biomembrane on the surface of activated carbon, they decompose organic matter in the waste water. In the microbial culture process 102, a seed of the microorganisms and the nutrient source for growth promotion of the microorganisms are fed to a second aeration tank together with the waste water, and the microorganisms grow to 10<SP>7</SP>-10<SP>10</SP>per milliliter of the waste water in the second aeration tank.
