PURPOSE: A vertical type welding apparatus is provided to improve work efficiency by varying the posture of a welding torch. CONSTITUTION: A vertical type welding apparatus comprises a rail(110), a main body(120), a posture changing unit(130) and a welding torch(140). The rail is side by side installed in a welding unit. The main body is installed in a rail. The main body moves with the transport drive according to the rail. The posture of a torch clamp of the posture changing unit is changed with a plurality of rotating coupling units. The welding torch is clamped in the torch clamp.
