PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method or the like with which an acoustic coupling amount can be efficiently estimated with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A speech reception level calculation section 11 calculates a speech reception level, a speech reception detection section 12 compares the speech reception level with a preset fixed threshold value and outputs information denoting the arrival of speech reception when the speech reception level is greater than the fixed threshold value. Then a peak interval detection section 13 judges whether or not the speech reception level resides in a peak interval, and outputs a result of the judgement. Further, a speech transmission level calculation section 16 calculates a speech transmission level. Then an acoustic coupling amount calculation section 14 calculates an instantaneous value of the acoustic coupling amount on the basis of a ratio of the speech reception level to the speech transmission level on the condition that the speech reception detection section 12 outputs information denoting the presence of the speech reception and the peak interval detection section 13 outputs the result of judgement that the speech reception level resides in the peak interval. Thereafter, a time smoothing section 15 calculates the acoustic coupling amount from the instantaneous value of the acoustic coupling amount and outputs the calculated acoustic coupling amount.
