PURPOSE: A signal processing device and a processing method thereof are provided to improve the target detection performance of a radar by maintaining linearity in an LFM(Linear Frequency Modulation) waveform process. CONSTITUTION: A fast Fourier transform unit(2) transforms an input digital signal into a frequency spectrum. A harmonic wave removing unit(3) removes harmonic components in the frequency spectrum. A multiplier(4) multiplies a reference spectrum by a spectrum without harmonic components. An inverse fast Fourier transform unit(5) transforms the result from the multiplier into a time domain signal.
