PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a weight and a weight manufactured by the same are provided, which can form a weight by attaching waste strips remaining after use. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a weight comprises: a welding process of collecting long and short strips and connecting them to each other; a winding process of forming the strips into a disk shape by pouring the waste strips into a winding device; a molding process of molding a weight for a barbell of a disk shape by pouring strips of a disk shape in to a molding device; and a coating process of coating the outer portion of the weight for barbell with rubber.
