PURPOSE: A system for reducing drive overhead by using a mirrored cache volume in a storage array is provided to avoid the delay of an HDD(hard disk drive) by implanting a mirrored cache volume in the storage array. CONSTITUTION: A host(102) generates plural I/O(Input/Output) requests, and a solid state device(112) includes a write cache region(116) and a read cache region(118). The read cache region is the mirror of the write cache region. An abstract layer(110) receives the plural input/output requests, and process the input/output requests. The abstract layer maps the plural input/ouput requests the read and write cache regions.
