PURPOSE: An earthquake-proof damper with a second brace and a braced frame applied with the same are provided to prevent earthquake energy from focusing on a frame which is a main structure though a slit plate type damper does not function properly. CONSTITUTION: An earthquake-proof damper with a second brace comprises a slit plate type damper(10), and upper and lower horizontal plates(20,30), and a pair of second braces(40). The upper and lower horizontal plates are coupled at the upper and lower end of the slit plate type damper. A pair of second braces pass through the upper and lower horizontal plates and are installed on the front and rear parts of the slit plate type damper.
