PURPOSE: A belt tension control device for a hose reel in an automatic hose winder is provided to apply strong tension to a belt with an idle pulley when winding a hose in a hose reel and convert into a no-load state after completion of winding. CONSTITUTION: The shaft(2a) of a motor(2) and the shaft of a hose reel are parallelly arranged in the vertical direction in an automatic hose winder main body(1). A lead cam shaft for leading the winding position of a hose and a hose transfer head is installed on the top of a hose reel. The pulley(2b) of the motor and the pulley of the hose reel are connected through a belt(7). The pulley of the hose reel and the pulley of the lead cam shaft are connected through a belt. A device for controlling the tension of the belts comprises a bushing(11) inserted to an outer supporting part(10), a friction pad(12) which is attached to an exterior wall, a spiral shaft(13) which is installed in a central spiral groove(10b), a guide hole(19a) formed in a wall, an idle pulley(16) which is fitted with a bearing(15) and assembled to the leading end of a support rod(17) with a bolt(18) and a nut(18a), a fastening plate(19) with a friction pad(12a), guide pins(14) inserted in the guide hole of the fastening plate and the guide hole of the outer supporting part, and a spring(20) which is fastened to the male thread of the spiral shaft with a nut(21).
