PURPOSE: A road monitoring method using radar and an apparatus thereof are provided to inform accurate road conditions of drivers by monitoring the state of the road through radar. CONSTITUTION: Reflected wave of a radar signal is collected by a road information collecting apparatus(S510). A radar signal is projected on the surface of the road by the road information collecting apparatus. The surface state of the road is determined by using a dielectric constant(S520). The dielectric constant information is included in the reflected wave. An obstacle on the road is detected trough the reflected wave. The risk levels of the road are determined(S540). |
