A method for treating carcinomatous ascite in the patients with gastric cancer comprises laparotomy, evacuation of ascitic fluid, intraoperative hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion with mitomycin and cisplatin, and continuous thermal monitoring of the patient. Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion is performed following the closure of laparotomic wound. |
