PURPOSE: An AC LED(Light Emitting Diode) device is provided to reduce power consumption by turning on at least one AC LED array for one cycle of an AC power source. CONSTITUTION: An AC power source(110) supplies AC power through first and second power output terminals. The AC LED unit includes first and second AC LED units. A voltage drop unit(130) drops the voltage of the AC power to the driving voltage of the AC LED unit. If the phase of the voltage of the AC power is positive, a first switch(140) turns on a first AC LED unit. If the phase of the voltage of the AC power is negative, a second switch(150) turns on a second AC LED unit.
