FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: display device has a substrate; a pixel electrode placed on the substrate; an insulating dividing wall between pixel electrodes which forms divided regions on the pixel electrodes; an inorganic luminescent layer having its lower surface in contact with the pixel electrode and placed in the region separated by the dividing wall; an opposite electrode placed on the inorganic luminescent layer; and a thin-film transistor which in its conducting state applies voltage between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode and causes the inorganic luminescent layer to emit light.
