DETECTION METHOD OF SURFACE DEFECT ON STRIP

PURPOSE: A method for detecting the defects on a strip is provided to accurately detect surface defects on a roller and to detect defects on a strip which periodically generates. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting the defects on a strip is as follows. A surface of a strip(200) transferred to a roller(300) is scanned. The surface defect of the strip is decided from the scanned image. If the surface defect exists, measurement data is extracted from the scanned image. The location and form of the surface defects of a strip are calculated from extracted measurement data. Where the defects of the roller surface is or not is decided according to the location and form of the surface detects of a strip.
