PURPOSE: A control method of a cooking appliance is provided to reduce an opening time of a cooking space by informing the opening information of a cooking space. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a cooking appliance comprises the next step. Food is accepted in a cooking space. If the cooking is performed after a selecting step, the heat source heats the cooking space. The opening or closing of the cooking space is detected when the heat source is operated at a heating step. If the opening of the cooking space is detected at a detecting step, a user is informed of the opening of the cooking space.
