PURPOSE: A hard disk drive is provided to easily adjust the span and vertical position of a pivot bearing without changes of a bearing spacer or other peripheral structures. CONSTITUTION: A hard disk drive(100) comprises an actuator(115), a pivot shaft(115a), and first and second pivot bearings. The actuator is equipped with a magnetic head. The pivot shaft is coupled with the actuator to form a rotational center of the actuator. The first and second pivot bearings receive rotating balls therein and are connected to the pivot shaft to help the rotation of the actuator. In one of the first and second pivot bearings, the inner rotating ball is separate a predetermined distance from the central axis in the width direction of the pivot bearing.
